Metallurgical Waste Heat

The design of the Foster Wheeler Waste Heat Boiler (WHB) is unique, designed to cool the hot process gases from the non-ferrous pyrometallurgical furnaces, or similar processes. Heat is recovered for power generation for drying, heating, and other purposes. This recovery of the heat ultimately saves fossil fuel.

The Foster Wheeler WHB operates in challenging operating conditions with high requirement for reliability. We have developed special technology to meet the challenge of these hot gases, which contain high loads of sticky dust particles and fumes, with the use of a unique patented Spring HammerTM rapping system in our boilers.

We have sold over 100 WHB units around the world for the non-ferrous metallurgical industry.
